RSS หรือ Really Simple Syndication คือรูปแบบไฟล์ของภาษา XML ใช้สำหรับการแบ่งปันหัวเรื่อง ข้อมูลบนเว็บระหว่างเว็บด้วยกัน หรือสำหรับดึงข่าวจากเว็บต่างๆ

 RSS หรือ Really Simple Syndication คือรูปแบบไฟล์ของภาษา XML ใช้สำหรับการแบ่งปันหัวเรื่อง ข้อมูลบนเว็บระหว่างเว็บด้วยกัน หรือสำหรับดึงข่าวจากเว็บต่างๆ มาแสดงบนเว็บของคุณ ซึ่งแต่ก่อน อาจมีการสร้างหัวเรื่องของข่าวจากเว็บต้นแบบ จากนั้นนำลิงค์ไปติดที่หน้าเว็บของเรา การแก้ไขถ้าเว็บต้นแบบแก้ไข เว็บของเราจะต้องทำการแก้ไขตามด้วย

นอกจากนี้สำหรับนักท่อง เน็ตทั่วไป สามารถนำประโยชน์ของ RSS นี้ไปใช้งานได้ โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเข้าไปในเว็บไซต์นั้นบ่อยๆ (ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากหลายๆ เว็บอาจมีการ udpate ข้อมูลที่ไม่พร้อมกัน) โดยสามารถติดตั้งโปรแกรม RSS Reader ใช้สำหรับดึงหัอข้อข่าวสารที่มีบริการ RSS มาไว้ในเครื่องของเรา และถ้ามีการ udpate จากเว็บนั้นๆ เราก็สามารถคลิกลิงค์ไปยังเว็บที่ให้บริการได้โดยตรง ทำให้ย่นเวลาในการเข้าไปดูเว็บต่างๆ มากมาย

รู้ได้อย่างไรว่าเว็บไหนมีบริการ RSS
สังเกตได้จากสัญลักษณ์ที่มีเครื่องหมาย  ส่วนใหญ่มักอยู่บริเวณเมนูหลักของเว็บ หรือบริเวณส่วนล่างของหน้าเว็บเพจ

XML (eXtensible Markup Language)
เป็นภาษาชนิดหนึ่งที่ใช้สำหรับเขียนเอกสารประเภท markup โดยจะมีการใช้ tags ที่มีลักษณะเช่นเดียวกับภาษา HTML เพื่อกำหนด แยกแยะประเภทของข้อมูลให้ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น จุดเด่นของ XML คือเป็นโปรแกรมที่ยืนหยุ่นมาก และไม่ขึ้นกับโปรแกรมประยุกต์หรือระบบปฏิบัติการใดๆ

กรณีที่ยังไม่มีโปรแกรม RSS ต้อง Download โปรแกรม RSS มาติดตั้งที่เครื่องก่อน โปรแกรม RSS มีหลายค่าย ได้แก่

Belkin SOHO KVM Switch - Since When Have KVM Switches Been This Desirable?

If you're looking to run more than one computer via your existing
monitor, keyboard and mouse set up then you need a KVM switch but, until
now, such peripherals have, from a design perspective at least, been
less than inspiring affairs best hidden from view - but Belkin's new
SOHO KVM manages to achieve what we thought otherwise impossible in
being a KVM switch you'll be more than happy to give up highly prized
desktop real estate in order to show off.

Prior to coming across Belkin's new SOHO KVM if you had asked us whether
we could ever envisage raving about the design of a KVM switch we would
have thought you mad. But here we are, about to do exactly that, as the
design of Belkin's SOHO KVM is a work of genius from a design team who
obviously know what how to get our cold, geek hearts palpitating with
desire..

Featuring touch sensitive controls and the form factor of a sleek,
glossy black box, the Belkin SOHO KVM is available in six versions
allowing for VGA, PS2 and DVI connections each of which also serves as a
two port USB 2.0 hub (one port front mounted, the second placed at the
rear of the unit) which is a welcome addition that will doubtless prove
especially handy just when it never seems that you have quite enough USB
ports available to accommodate all your connectivity requirements (USB
fish tank, et al).

The Belkin SOHO KVM Switch is expected to retail for around $160 or $270
for the 2 port and four port models respectively.

Laser Target Alarm Clock Offers a Little Morning Target Practice

Novel alarm clocks are a dime a dozen these days but this Laser Target
Alarm Clock is certainly more novel than most in offering a little
morning target practice in order to help wrestle you from the depths of
your slumber.

Featuring a separate handheld laser gun which must be fired directly at
the clock's target in order to turn the alarm off, if a little morning
target practice is not enough to bring you to your senses, you could
always try placing the laser gun in another room necessitating its
prompt retrieval in order to silence the alarm.

Dell's startlingly swanky new Crystal 22'� Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor
has the distinction of having attained the highest design honour in the
Best of Innovations category at the Consumer Electronics Show this year
and it's really not hard to see why - boasting cutting edge styling

Designer Marcos Breder has to be congratulated for coming up with this
brilliantly effective fusion between traditional dominos and USB flash
drives in the form of these rather fetching Domino Pen Drives.

Far from being a mere aesthetic detail, the dots on these Domino USB
Flash Drives actually appear dynamically in order to serve to inform you
as to how much of the drive's capacity is currently in use, with each
dot representing 1GB of memory, thus allowing you to tell at a glance
how much storage space you have left at any given point in time.

An enduring example of simple yet highly effective design, Marcos
Breder's Domino USB Flash Drives are currently a concept work though we
for one would love to see these USB drives make it as a commercial product.
